Abstract
A metamaterial-based infrared absorber was proposed for the detection of different concentrations of cephalosporin. The metamaterial structure designed in this paper consists of three layers: metal substrate, intermediate layer and nanocavity array. The simulation results show that the nano-cavity array has a perfect absorption peak in the infrared region in which the absorption coefficient is up to 99.72%. The refractive index of the solution will be affected by different concentrations of cephalosporin, thereby affecting the position of the absorption peak in the infrared absorber of the metamaterial. The influence of structural parameters on detection accuracy is also studied, where the FOM of the sensor reaches 400 when the nanocavity radius is small.
