Abstract
In this paper all the key parameters i.e. V-Number, effective refractive index of the cladding, radius of the core, numerical aperture, mode field diameter (MFD) and mode field area have been obtained by Far-Field intensity pattern of endlessly single mode Photonic Crystal Fiber (ESM-PCF). The transmission characteristics of PCF are also analyzed and simulated using Improved Effective Index Method (IEIM). Results obtained from Far-field technique and IEIM are compared and found in good agreement. Hence, IEIM is experimentally supported by the far field technique.
