Abstract
The great variety of demands upon photographic science have stimulated the development of many new photographic processes. It would be nearly impossible to describe the characteristics of all of these systems of photography. As it happens, they all have certain kinds of measurable characteristics in common. Let us consider the general kinds of characteristics that are important for information recovery.
