GPR has been proven effective for rebar structural condition inspections. However, most existing GPR inspections are limited to examine the single layer steel bars. Due to the complication of electromagnetic signal propagations, few studies have been performed on GPR inspecting multilayer steel rebar mesh structure. In this paper, a comprehensive investigation on multilayer rebar mesh structure inspection procedures and signal processing algorithms are conducted. For performance evaluations, simulations and field test data are adopted.
