We propose and demonstrate a multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) transmission under radio over multimode fiber (RoMMF) configuration. The mode multiplexer and demultiplexer have been configured for the 3x3 MIMO transmission over the GI50 fiber. Three radio signals at a frequency of 6 GHz with a bandwidth of 400 MHz can be transmitted over the 100-m-long GI50 optical fiber with a zero-forcing algorithm using Zadoff-Chu sequences for MIMO demultiplexing. This RoMMF configuration will be applied for the radio relay link in 5G and beyond systems to compensate for the radio dead zones such as in-vehicle and distributed antenna systems in homes and buildings.
