We have developed dual-modality imaging that combines Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to profile the microstructural and physiological status of 3D cell culture and to offer complementary biological information with an optical resolution. In this paper, the design of the dual-modal sensor is detailly described and a robust algorithm developed for information fusion and image reconstruction is also illustrated. The performance of the developed imaging framework and image reconstruction algorithm is evaluated by both numerical simulation and real experiments.
