Abstract
In this paper, a wideband accurate check method for conducted emissions current probe method (CE-CP) measurement system is presented and validated. The analytical expression of the current level spectrum of the trapezoidal pulse measured by the electromagnetic interference (EMI) receiver is provided. The analysis shows that the spectrum is not only decided by single pulse waveform parameters, including the amplitude, the rising/falling edge time and the duration time, but also controlled by the pulse repetition frequency and the resolution bandwidth (RBW) of the EMI receiver. Using a trapezoidal pulse train with its rising / falling time and duration in several nanoseconds (ns), a repetition frequency far less than the minimum measurement RBW and a repetition period not greater than the minimum measurement time, the wideband accurate checks for the CE-CP measurement system can be achieved. The experiment results show that the measured check data of the system are in good agreement with the theoretical simulation data.
