Abstract
Parallel-coupled microstrip bandpass filter has the advantages of microstrip bandpass filter, which is light weight, wide frequency band and easy to process, and is widely used in wireless communication system. Because the parallel-coupled microstrip bandpass filter will increase the filter size due to the increase in the order, the non-uniform characteristics between the parallel coupling lines will cause the phase velocity of the even-mode and the odd-mode to be different, resulting in a higher second harmonic of the filter, its application scenarios are limited. In this paper, an in-line parallelcoupled microstrip bandpass filter with a mixed fractals structure is designed, and the working frequency is 2.4GHz. By adding Koch fractals and Minkowski fractals to the upper and lower edges of the microstrip line, the filter has better passband and stopband characteristics, and the second harmonic suppression ability is improved. The filter second harmonic attenuation reaches -40.56dB. The in-line W-shaped structure can further reduce the size of the filter, and the area reduction rate has reached 66.21%.
