Abstract
Time domain induced polarization method is a common geophysical exploration technology, which has achieved good application results in hydrogeological work. At present, the time domain induced polarization method mainly takes polarizability and resistivity as main interpretation parameters to identify the water bearing structures and aquifers, and the interpretation method is relatively single. This paper focuses on this problem. A shallow hydrogeological survey was carried out in a certain area of Hebei Province of China, and the time-domain induced polarization method was used to carry out electrical sounding. As for data processing and interpretation, apparent time-varying state parameters (decay rate of different time channel secondary fields) are used as auxiliary means to identify the shallow aquifers and upper and lower surrounding rocks in combination with the apparent resistivity and polarizability. The results show that the combination of the decay rate, polarizability and resistivity is effective for aquifer identification, and the time-varying state can be regarded as a physical quantity independent of resistivity and polarizability. The results obtained in this paper can provide reference for relevant research and provide a scheme for the same type of work.
