Abstract
In the field of road surveying, we use vehicle laser scanning to get the cloud point data of road. It can generate huge cloud point data. It is difficult to display huge cloud point data quickly, you should organize the data first, then we can display the data quickly. But it is difficult to organize huge data quickly. In this article, we use the file mapping to read the whole data into memory. We cut the whole data into different block, then each block organizes the cloud points into LOD data structure. If the block is in the Frustum, it shows different detail as the sight distance changes.
