Abstract
In order to overcome the limitations carried by single-objective optimization of freight (railway and highway) network, in this paper we propose a dual-objective optimization model with minimum cost and shortest mileage using the augmented epsilon constraint algorithm. Specifically, the dual-objective optimization model is based on the characteristics of the actual traffic flow, and the relevant constraints. This paper uses a random example to demonstrate the distribution of non dominated solutions. The results show that our model and its algorithm can find high-quality representative non-dominated solutions within a reasonable time, which is significant for solving the loaded and empty car flow path problem in the railway network.
