Abstract
The use of the step-scan technique in FTIR spectroscopy allows, amongst other things, the recording of transient phenomena, while still retaining the broad wavelength range, throughput, and multiplex advantages of conventional rapid-scan FTIR spectroscopy. This paper reports new results in both absorption and emission modes that demonstrate the fast temporal response. This summary specifically reports the time-resolved emission of a pulsed Nd:YLiF laser emission with a time resolution of 10 nanoseconds.
