Abstract
The PERFORMSC (personal performance in mammographic screening) self-assessment program has demonstrated large individual differences in both cancer and feature detection. It has also illustrated national differences in feature detection, certain features are undetected and misinterpreted more frequently than others. These differences are also found in the breast screening program. Subsequently revision training sets concentrating on these specific features have been developed. The use of these has been shown to increase feature detection and thereby cancer detection.
