Abstract
An optical wide-band FM modulation scheme which increases the optical power budget of fiber-optic AM video signal transmission systems is described and its improved transmission performance is demonstrated. Expanding of the power budget of AM video signal transmission allows us to create a passive double star (PDS) based fiber-optic access network platform that supports telephony and video distribution services.
