Abstract
The analysis of a moving object which is changing its form and light intensity as a function of time is described. The objects presented as an example of such an analysis are solar eruptions (flares) observed with a digital CCD - camera. It is discussed how the information of every picture in the set is transformed into a single parameter in order to obtain time profiles. It is shown how images are calibrated. Remaining noise was eliminated by Fourier - filtering techniques in space and time.
