Abstract
We propose in this communication an intrinsic validation method in order to improve the global segmentation results. The originality of this method lies with the possibility to automatically validate segmentation results at two levels: regions and pixels. This method is based on three different and complementary intrinsic quality measures: '’topology”, homogeneity and stability. These three measures are computed from image and segmented image without any a priori knowledge on the ground truth. For each measure, a criterion is applied in order to validate the segmentation results. The developed method has been applied on the high-resolution multi-component images obtained by the CASI (Compact Airborne Spectrographic Imager). The application of this method on CASI images shows its efficiency.
