Abstract

We describe a digital holographic storage system for the study on data storage format. Holograms are recorded with combined angle and spatial multiplexing in LiNbO₃:Fe by use of the 90° geometry, and reconstructions are detected with a 40-frame/s CCD camera. The data storage format and addressing method that take advantage of the unique characteristics of our volume holographic memory are discussed.
