Abstract
It has been shown that fiber-optic transmission line (FOTL) quality and reliability are mostly determined with the firmness of optic cable (OC) with metallic elements against outward electro-magnetic (EM) influence. The most important questions are quality control ofprojection and construction ofFOTL linear-cable structure, and also realization of prophylactic work at FOTL exploitation stage. The questions of OC external covers characteristics control and condition control ofFOTL linear-cable construction system ofprotection from lightning and EM influence are shown.
