Abstract
The problem of compensation for turbulent distortions of images is investigated. The full system of the Navier-Stokes equations was used for modeling of turbulent fluctuations. The problem of the convergence of the proposed mathematical procedure and the focusing of the laser beam in non-uniform atmosphere are also discussed. Results may be applied to the compensation for distortions of images from modern optical telescopes without using deformable mirrors, to indication targeting problems and even to the control of laser beam focusing in the case of the turbulent atmosphere.
