Abstract
Comparative analysis for dispersion of photon density waves has been carried out in various approximations: diffusion equation, P1 - approximation of transfer equation, L.T. Perelman's approximation, and P3 -P7 - approximations of radiation transfer. For the last case we discovered a frequency range where at calculation of damping of photon density waves it is necessary to consider the width of the scattering indicatrix besides transport scattering coefficient. Obtained results allow us to make clear forming of the ballistic component and define its velocity of propagation and damping.
