The development of an on-chip sensor module using CMOS floating-gate transistor (FGT) technology which can be heterogeneously integrated onto existing microsystem sensor platforms was performed. The device sensitively transduces signals from functionalised sensing electrodes, which provides a customisable platform for advances in selective sensor systems. This project further presents the process development of integrating CMOS chips into flexible printed electronics microsystems sensor modules, which provide reliable electrical chip connections, as well as functionality for liquid sample usage. On-chip CMOS microsystems integrated with printed electronics enables cost sensitive point-of-care systems. The integrated microsystems sensor module answers to the steady rise in demand towards manufacturing costeffective miniaturised systems with smart features.
