In order to solve the problem of over temperature of internal electrical components in a certain type of locomotive battery charger, CFD simulation analysis method is used to analyze the internal flow field and temperature field of the charger. By changing the internal air duct structure of the charger and optimizing the design and process of the module radiator, a scheme to improve the thermal management of the charger is proposed. Compared with the experimental results, the error is controlled within 5%. The temperature of electrical parts reaches the design goal.
