Juan Russo received his B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Technological University of the Republic of Panama (2004), and his M.Sc. (2007) and Ph.D. (2015) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Arizona. He worked as a researcher at the University of Arizona in holography and solar energy. While at Prism Solar Technologies (2007-2011), he co-invented a volume hologram replicator for planar solar concentrators. Juan joined Luminit in 2015 where he is currently the Director of R&D. He oversees holography-based projects in augmented reality displays for automotive, avionics and near to eye displays. Juan’s R&D team at Luminit was responsible for the successful development from R&D to production of the full color holograms used in the Focals by North AR glasses. He is a member of IEEE, OSA, SID and SPIE. He has contributed to numerous conference proceedings, has published papers in refereed journals, patents and trademarks.
