Abstract
Taking the South Taihu cyanobacteria interception project as the research object, combined with satellite imagery and onsite water quality monitoring, the water quality inside and outside the enclosure project and the cyanobacteria blocking effect are analyzed. The results show that the interception project has a significant effect on the interception of cyanobacteria. The average chlorophyll a concentration inside the enclosure is 56.6% lower than the average chlorophyll a concentration outside the enclosure. The satellite images of the same period also confirm that the cyanobacteria are effectively intercepted outside the enclosure; the wave-eliminating piles in the interception project keep the water in the enclosure in a relatively calm state, which is of positive significance for the development of water ecology in the enclosure. In general, the interception project will help improve the water landscape in the enclosed area, and the implementation of the project will have higher economic and social benefits for lakeside cities.
