Abstract
Aiming at the problem of uneven gray distribution and low contrast in medical images, the paper proposes a medical image enhancement method based on histogram equalization. The image is initially improved through wavelet transform combined with threshold processing. The detail features of the improved image are extracted by Prewitt operator and fused with the original image, and then the histogram is used to equalize and enhance the image. Experimental results show that the proposed method can better enhance the image feature information and is suitable for a variety of low-quality medical images.
