Abstract
This paper summarizes the current state of research on finned tube heat exchangers to provide guidance and reference for their heat transfer design as well as application. The different types of fin structures used to enhance heat transfer outside the tube are broadly classified as flat fins, corrugated fins, and slotted fins. This paper analyzes and summarizes the effects of different fin structure parameters such as fin pitch, fin length, fin thickness, number of tube rows, tube spacing, and pipe diameter on the heat transfer performance and flow friction performance of heat exchangers under different fins structures.
