Abstract
Linear motor has extremely wide application in linear motion, but the end effect and cogging effect directly affect the thrust ripple of linear motor in working condition. In this paper, the flat permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (PMSLM) has been studied, and the cogging force has been modeled with parametric method in Maxwell, the influence of slot shape, pole-arc coefficient, and slot width to tooth width ratio (RST) on cogging force has been simulated, and the suitable structure parameter has been derived. Finally, the structure parameter of this motor is optimized, and the feasibility has been verified with simulation analysis.
