Abstract
In order to carry out high-order applications such as feature extraction, registration, surface reconstruction, and visualization, it is necessary to separate ground and non-ground points in point cloud data, and a point cloud filtering algorithm based on lidar is proposed. In this paper, three typical point cloud filtering algorithms (Point Cloud Filtering Algorithm of Moving Surface Fitting, Progressive Triangulated Irregular Network Densification, Mathematical Morphology Point Cloud Filtering Algorithm) are summarized from the research status at home and abroad, the specific process of the algorithm and the evaluation of filtering effect, and the problems in practical application are solved by comparing the characteristics of the filtering algorithms, and the follow-up research direction is analyzed. Overall, for flat and simple terrain, the three typical point cloud filtering algorithms mentioned above have good filtering effects, but for discontinuous and complex terrain, the filtering effect is poor, especially for the point cloud filtering algorithm of moving surface fitting with poor adaptability to discontinuous terrain. PTD operation is complex and the filtering efficiency is low. Mathematical morphology point cloud filtering algorithm is mature in theory and widely used. At present, the point cloud filtering algorithm of lidar has been developed more maturely, but there is still much room for improvement in realizing high efficiency and adaptive filtering.
