Abstract
To address the issue of We-maps users experiencing difficulty in quickly and accurately retrieving maps, the paper proposes utilizing perceptual hash algorithms to retrieve the maps. First, the map image is extracted from the We-map database and processed in batches to obtain invariant features. Then, various perceptual hash algorithms are used to establish spatial mapping based on map content features, resulting in a fixed-length hash code. Finally, the Hamming distance is used to calculate the similarity of hash features corresponding to the map, and a comparison is made to retrieve the map from the We-map database that fulfills the user's requirements based on the comparison outcome. The retrieved map, based on the comparison result, will satisfy the user's needs. Using this method enhances image retrieval efficiency, enabling fast retrieval of images on We-map and comprehensive micro-map image retrieval. The retrieval-based experimental results demonstrate that by utilizing this approach, users can promptly retrieve We-maps with comparable image characteristics, thereby presenting an innovative content retrieval method for We-maps.
