Abstract
Photorefractive (PR) KNbOs crystal, especially when employed as storage medium, can be used effectively under pulse readout at high repetition rate where almost nondestructive readout of the information can be achieved. Experimental results obtained support this. The behaviour is attributed to the presence of shallow traps in addition to the deep donor and acceptor levels.
