Abstract
A practical method for the publication of infrared spectra that are quantitative on both intensity and wavenumber axes is presented. The method has been applied to the real refractive index and the absorption index spectra of several organic liquids. The final Compact Tables are about one tenth of the size required to present the original spectra in a conventional XY table. The Compact Table allows recovery of the spectra to better than the accuracy of the measurements.
