Abstract
This sections of the nuclear part of the bovine lenses were investigated. Angular intensity distributions as a function of temperature was measured. For older lenses the phase separation is not observed. For relatively young lenses the intensity with increasing temperature decreases to a minimum value. This value of the intensity depends on the age of the lens. In the region where the intensity decreases the scattering occurs from elements responsible for the phase separation as well as from structural elements. For very young lenses the minimum value of the intensity tends to zero. Correlation distances for aggregates as well s for distances between the aggregates are calculated by application of the random density fluctuation theory. The spinodal temperature is determined from the temperature dependence of the scattered intensity.
