Abstract
We investigate contribution of absorptive and refractive gratings in a mixed hologram by using a xanthene-dye doped polymer film by means of two-beam coupling by moving the hologram. Xanthene-dyes such as erythrosin B, eosin Y and fluorescein are doped in polyvinyl alcohol films because of their photo-induced bleaching. Phases of reconstructed beam took constant values independent of hologram-recording time and the modulated refractive indices and absorption coefficients were proportional to hologram-recording time.
