Abstract
A general study on the polarization angle dependence of the contrast of a speckle pattern generated by reflexion under oblique illumination is presented. This functional dependence allows to use the changes in the speckle statistical parameters as a way to estimate the optical activity of certain materials. A theoretical model is shown. Experimental data supporting the model are also presented.
