Abstract
Using the description of a three-dimensional gaussian beam in terms of a continuous spectrum of planes waves, we determine analytically the transverse angular shift of a linearly polarized beam that is reflected on an isotropic interface under conditions of partial and total reflection. We also analyze the influence of polarization on this non-specular effect.
