Abstract
This paper discusses an application of linear systems concepts to the image quality characterization of flat-panel display devices. A computational model of flat-panel pixel structure is discussed, along with several examples illustrating the use of the model in common flat-panel design issues. The results of this work indicate that linear systems analysis provides useful tools for the objective specification of flat-panel image quality.
