Abstract
In geosynchronous (GEO) synthetic aperture radar (SAR), the synthetic aperture time increases to hundreds of seconds and the signal propagation delay time reaches up to hundreds of milliseconds, resulting in the violation of the stop-and-go assumption and the linear trajectory model. The accurate slant range history is created based on the consideration of the stop-and-go error. Then, an extended keystone transform is proposed to correct the more complicated range cell migration, and a two-dimensional nonuniform Fourier transform is presented to achieve a well-focused image. The simulation results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed processing method in GEO SAR.
