Abstract
This erratum corrects the spelling of an author’s name.

This article [J. Biomed. Opt. 22(12), 121602 (2017), doi: 10.1117/1.JBO.22.12.121602] was originally published online on 12 July 2017 with an error in the spelling of an author’s name, Lorenzo Bevilacqua.

This article was corrected online on 20 February 2019.
