Abstract
One of the reasons for the frequent occurrence of civil engineering construction safety accidents is the knowledge deficiency of practitioners in technical operation and safety protection. This paper firstly introduces the theory of the causes of construction safety accidents and the characteristics of safety management of civil engineering construction projects. Then, by building a project safety management maturity model, it analyzes the current situation of safety management communication and knowledge sharing in engineering practice, finds out deficiencies, and formulates improvement measures. The construction of this model not only enriches the construction project safety management evaluation system, but also is of great significance to the theoretical exploration of the maturity model, and further guides project managers to improve project safety management capabilities in practice and reduce the occurrence of construction safety accidents.
