Profile Summary

I am working as research and development engineer in the Color and Imaging Science group developing image processing and digital halftoning algorithms for high speed production printers at Ricoh Production Print Solutions LLC, Boulder, Colorado. My research interests are in the area of digital halftone, color and image processing, parallel programming (GPU), non-uniformity compensation, image enhancement, gamma correction, human visual system models, psycho-physical analysis, mathematical modeling of imaging system pipeline, inkjet technology, automatic image and print quality algorithms. I have 2 peer-reviewed journals, 8 international conference proceedings, and holds 5 US patents, 13 US patent applications plus 4 foreign counterparts in these fields. I received Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (with emphasis in Signal and Image processing) from the Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, in 2008 under the supervision of Dr. Eli Saber. My thesis work was funded by Xerox Corporation through the Center for Electronic Imaging Systems (CEIS), a New York State Office of Science, Technology and Advanced Research (NYSTAR) designated state center for advanced technology. I had previously received Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, India in 2005. I am a senior member of the IEEE, the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS), SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering, the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), the Technical Committee of IEEE Image, Video and Multidimensional Signal Processing (IVMSP) and the Imaging Science and Technology Society (IS&T). I also serve as review committee member of RPPS Invention Development Team, Journal of Electronic Imaging (JEI), IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP) and Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (JECE).
