In order to adapt to the requirement of informatization and automation application development of surveying and mapping science and technology, PDA is widely used in surveying and mapping field data collection. In this paper, the field data acquisition and data processing system are designed and developed based on the idea of object-oriented. The system is mainly composed of five modules: data communication, data records and inspection, surveying data estimate, the original records table automatically generate and data format conversion. The system can realize automatic data acquisition and preprocessing of the field surveying data estimates and lay the foundation for surveying data automatically processing with total station instructions.
