Anthony Tanbakuchi, a member of the Optical Payload Design & Realization Group at Sandia National Laboratories, has broad experience designing and realizing imaging and non-imaging optical systems for land, air, and space. Prior to his work at Sandia, he received a PhD & MS in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona for his work developing the first confocal micro-laparoscope used in humans to image cancer. He also holds a BS in Imaging & Photographic Technology and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistical Quality from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
