Mr. Daniel Rhonehouse is a Research Chemist and Fiber Optic Engineer at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. He has spent more than three decades in industrial R&D and product development related to glass chemistry and fiber optics for DOD, commercial and university research applications. His expertise covers a broad range of multicomponent glasses including silicates, phosphates, heavy metal oxide, and chalcogenides as well as silica, single crystal and more recently polymer fibers. He has expertise in production of various fiber forms including all-solid, hollow core, and photonic crystal fiber optics. He holds eight issued patents in related fields.
