Profile Summary

I am an postdoctoral associate at the Florida International University conducting research on multiple optical imaging techniques in Dr. Ramella-Roman laboratory. During my PhD, I have focused on utilizing broadband, ultra-short laser pulses for complementary contrast mechanisms in multimodal microscopy under the director of A T. Yeh at Texas A&M. I have developed a combined a multimodal imaging platform, integrating multi-hoton microscopy (MPM) with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). This methodology was applied to the study of biological processes and responses within 3D living tissues. Currently, I have developed a Polarization Sensitive OCT to study anisotropic biological tissue and in the current research proposal I will integrate microscopic tools such as PS-OCT and MPM to wide field of view techniques that are more suitable to clinical work.
